ADB will allocate $22 million to support reforms in the education sector of Kyrgyzstan
Almaty. January 28. Silkroadnews - The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will provide grant assistance in the amount of $22 million to support education reform in Kyrgyzstan, reports Trend.
According to the publication, the program "will help the government to complete the implementation of new training programs" ,including math and science, to review procedures for the development, publication and distribution of textbooks, textbook rental scheme introduced for the free provision for poor and vulnerable students.
In addition, the program on the basis of 30 schools in the country will create innovative centers of learning math and science. School at the same time will receive financial support for equipment research laboratories, as well as adequate information and software.
In turn, the government of Kyrgyzstan will take part in the co-financing of the program in the amount of $ 2.1 million. The new program is designed for 6 years.
