Beijing to invest 30 billion yuan in transport in 2017
Almaty. March 13. Silkroadnews – This year Beijing will invest 30 billion yuan in transport infrastructure, Chinese media write.
“In 2016 Beijing allocated 28.6 billion yuan for building the transport infrastructure, this year the capital’s government intends to invest 30 billion yuan into this sphere”, the publication said quoting a responsible representative of the Beijing Municipal Committee of Transportation.
According to information available, in 2017 the funds will be used mainly to improve public transportation systems in Tongzhou, the capital’s subsidiary administrative center with the traditional central metropolitan areas and other neighboring districts. In particular, the plan provides for the total length of the urban rail transport lines to exceed 600 km this year.
At the end of 2016 the length of rail transport lines in Beijing was 574 km.
