China and Russia agreed to build a medical institute in Northeast China
Almaty. June 17. Silkroadnews – China and Russia agreed to build the first Chinese-Russian medical institute designed to train physicians fluent in languages of two countries and specializing in Chinese and European medicine; the institute is planned to be built in Harbin (prov. Heilongjiang, Northeast China), Xinhua news agency reports.
The day before the framework agreement on cooperation was signed by Heilongjiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Pharmacology and Amur State Medical Academy. According to the document, the two sides will delegate to the Institute their best teachers and professors to carry out the languages and medical courses.
The institute shall be differentiated through the combination of traditional Chinese and Western medicines, as well as the model of training the international experts on TCM.
The two universities mentioned also plan to open the joint hospital of the Chinese and European medicines in the border city of Heihe.
