EEC and China’s National Development and Reform Commission have achieved specific understanding on the antitrust policy
Almaty. June 17. Silkroadnews – In Beijing Nurlan Aldabergenov, Member of the Board (Minister) in charge of Competition and Anti-Trust Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission, and Deputy Chairman of the National Commission for Development and Reform Commission Hu Tszutsay signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of competition policy and antitrust regulation, the EEC press service reported.
“The Memorandum provides cooperation in economic activities related to the development of competition. Signing of the Memorandum opens up new opportunities for relations in the sphere of preventive antitrust violations, particularly anti-competitive agreements,” N. Aldabergenov said.
It is noted that the document provides for the exchange of experience and methodological recommendations of inquiry related to the violation of the antimonopoly legislation; consultation on the regulation of legal relations in the field of competition policy; study of the practice of research of commodity markets; joint activities on issues affecting the scope of competition and anti-monopoly regulation.
The meeting participants have also discussed current issues of antitrust regulation in the two jurisdictions, the activities of the National Commission of China for the Prohibition of abuse of dominant position and market research.
