Kyrgyzstan’s Prime Minister proposed to change the government structure

Almaty. June 17. Silkroadnews – Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov held a meeting with the members of the government, where presented a proposal to amend the structure of Kyrgyzstan’s government as approved by the resolution of Jogorku Kenesh “On the structure of the government of the Kyrgyz Republic” dated April 13, 2016, KyrTAG writes.

The Prime Minister’s proposals on the government structure change have been approved by the members of the government.

Thus, based on the government program “Trust and unity” and imperatives of our time the following changes into the existing structure of the government are  proposed: establishment of the State Committee of Industry, Energy and Mining of the Kyrgyz Republic on the basis of the State Agency for Geology and Mineral Resources; expansion of the functions of the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation with additional functions of the food industry development; establishment of the State Committee of Information Technology and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic on the basis of the State Communications Agency and the Electronic Governance Center of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic; reorganization and reduction of the functions of the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Transport and Communications, the State Registration Service, Agency for Geology and Mineral Resources; expansion of the function of the State Inspectorate for environmental and technical safety by adding the functions on the mineral resources use monitoring.

The changes in the structure of the executive branch does not imply increasing the staffing level or any additional funding from the national budget.
