More than 140 thousand refugees from Afghanistan went to Europe in 2015

Almaty. November 17. Silkroadnews - At least 146 thousand residents of a number of Afghan provinces this year have left their homes and headed to Europe, said Afghan News Agency (AfTAG).
The reason for the mass exodus to the "prosperous Europe" became "the security situation and the lack of jobs".
In 2015, due to the intensification of conflicts, in the Middle East, Asia and Africa significantly increased the number of refugees arriving to Europe. Since the beginning of this year, the number of illegal migrants has exceeded 378 thousand man. On the way to Europe died almost 2.8 thousand people. During the year Italy received 121 thousand refugees, Greece - 309.4 thousand, through Macedonia and Serbia everyday pass aboout 5 thousand people.
They accumulate near the borders of Austria, Hungary and Germany. Germany has accepted about 400 thousand migrants. It is the first of the Schengen countries that introduced a passport control at the border.
It is pointed out that the European Commission has proposed to introduce for all 28 EU countries a quota to accept 160 thousand migrants. This proposal is opposed by Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and the Baltic countries. According to experts, by the end of the year the inflow of migrants into the EU may exceed 1 million people.
