President Almazbek Atambayev pays a state visit to Uzbekistan

Almaty. October 5. Silkroadnews – State visit of Kyrgyzstan’s president Almazbek Atambayev to Uzbekistan starts today on October 5, the Kyrgyz Telegraph Agency (KyrTAG) reports with reference to press office of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the visit’s agenda the heads of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan will hold talks on topical issues of Kyrgyz-Uzbek relations.
Among the documents to be signed in the course of the visit there are the Protocol on exchange of ratification instruments under the Treaty on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek state border, Declaration on strengthening of friendship, good-neighborliness and confidence between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan; as well as a set of bilateral documents on cooperation in the field of security, defense, combating economic crimes, procedure for carrying out customs operations when moving goods and cargo, statistical data exchange, and agreements between border areas and information agencies.
There is also an exhibition of two countries’ industrial products planned to be held within the framework of the visit.
