Almaty. October, 30. Silkroadnews - $3 billion will direct international donors on Aral Sea, informs Uzbekistan news agency (UzTAG).
As noted, in Urgench passed the international conference "Development of cooperation in the Aral Sea Basin to mitigate environmental catastrophe."
"At the conference wwere signed about 30 different instruments aimed at combating the effects of the Aral Sea tragedy. Their total cost - $3 billion. Of these, $1.9 billion - is soft loans, $200 million - grants and technical assistance",- said at the conference First Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Rustam Azimov.
Recall, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said earlier that international donors should be more involved in the prevention of ecological disaster of the Aral Sea.
