1.5 times more repeat drug offenders in Tajikistan this year

Dushanbe. April 7. Silkroadnews – 1.5 times more repeat drug offenders were tried in Tajikistan this year, as the country’s Drug Control Agency reports.
9 162 criminal offenders were tried in in Tajikistanin 2013. 1 049 of them were tried for illicit drug crimes.
The number of offenders has in increased by 22.3% within the last 3 years. At the same time, 11.4 % of them were tried for drug related crimes. This is a decrease compared to the 12.7% share the year before, as the agency reports.
