Bishkek. April 22. Silkroadnews - 10 000 Kyrgyz women become victims of domestic violence every year, as Nazgul Beisheva, who heads the Department of Gender Policy of the Ministry of Social Development, said at the national consultations on implementation of “Beijing+20” action platform and declaration.
As she explains, the country does not have crisis centres, because the budget does not allocate any money for these purposes.
“Thus, we cannot provide quality public services to domestic violence victims”, she noticed.
