10 thousand of residential buildings shall be built in Afghan Herat

Almaty. February 15. Silkroadnews - Ministry of Urban Development and Housing reported the construction of 10 thousand residential houses shall start in the nearest future in the city of Herat, the capital of West Herat province.  
During his visit to Herat, the Minister of Urban Development and Housing Sayed Sadat Mansoor Naderi met with the local officials, members of Parliament representing the province, the elders, and private businesses representatives.
The Minister said the housing funds have been allocated for seven cities, the administrative center of the province and a number of districts.
He added 8206 plots of land in an area of 6234 jeribs (about 3 thousand 81 acres) in these cities will be allocated for teachers, and another 9 cities will be built as soon as all the relevant documents are formed.
He also touched upon the good level of water supply system in the city of Herat and promised to improve the water supply in the regions.
