Beijing. June 22. Silkroadnews - Within the framework of the new initiative on cooperation between Iran and the European small- and medium-sized companies, 100 European industrial enterprises intend to start business negotiations with Iranians, said Helga Schmid, Secretary General of the European External Action Service (EEAS), the Iranian Telegraph Agency (IrTAG) reports.
Meeting with the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Ali Akbar Salehi Helga Schmid assured Iran of the efforts to save the JCPOA and ensure the economic benefits of Tehran. She also pointed to a new initiative on trade negotiations between small and medium-sized businesses from Iran and the EU, saying that 100 companies will soon start talks with Iran.
Since more than 60% of European industries are represented by SMEs, it is expected that the forthcoming trade negotiations will become an appropriate basis for direct cooperation between Iran and the EU.
In his turn Salehi called on the EU to take real and practical measures to save the JCPOA deal.
Confirming the need to remove the sanctions against Iran within the framework of the JCPOA, he said it is impossible to fulfill obligations on nuclear transactions while sanctions are still in place, the report reads.
