11 people reported killed as a result of attack on military academy in Kabul

Beijing. January 30. Silkroadnews – 11 soldiers of the Afghan National Army reported killed as a result of assault on Marshal Fahim military academy in Kabul, the Afghan Telegraph Agency (AfTAG) reports with reference to the country’s defense forces representatives.
To remind, at about 5am (00.30 GMT) on Monday morning an explosion occurred near the building of the military high school followed by attack by a group of militants. The clashes lasted for about five hours, until all the attackers were killed. One of the militants was captured alive.
As the AfTAG reported earlier, first media reported on 5 dead and 10 wounded soldiers, later it became known about 11 soldiers killed and at least 16 wounded.
The Islamic State group, which last month carried out a similar attack against the staff and cadets of the National Directorate of Security (NDS) training centre in the Afghan capital, claimed responsibility for the attack.
