13 militants were sentenced to death in Egypt

Almaty. October 10. Silkroadnews – Yesterday the Criminal Court of Cairo issued a death sentence on 13 militants of the terrorist group Ajnad Misr involved in many attacks against security forces in the Egyptian capital, the Tajik Telegraph Agency (TajikTA) reports with reference to RIA Novosti.
The verdict of the court, like all the death sentences in Egypt, is directed for consideration by the country’s top religious authorities.
The final verdict is expected to be made on December 7. The Ajnad Misr group (Soldiers of Egypt) is responsible for a number of terrorist attacks in Cairo after the ouster of ex-President Mohamed Morsi.
Militants of the group were involved in bombing of explosive device near the building of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, bombing of the land mine near the presidential palace Al-Ittihad in Cairo, bombing near the Cairo University in 2014. In 2016 at least 44 people were executed in Egypt, the international human rights organization Amnesty International says, which ranked Egypt the sixth after China, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Pakistan.
