14 million tourists registered in Iran’s hotels during the first seven days of Nowruz

Almaty. March 31. Silkroadnews - During the first seven days of the Nowruz celebration the country’s hotels welcomed about fourteen millions of Iranians, IrTAG reports with reference to the deputy director of tourism department of the Iranian Cultural Heritage Organization Murtazo Rahmoni.

According to the report, all the hotels are ready to meet Iran’s New Year’s tourists due to successfully preparation activities conducted at the end of the year.

For the past seven days more than 14 million Iranians visited country’s museums, historical sites and places of interest, which shows +28% growth versus number of visitors for the last year.

14 thousand cases for medical assistance centers and tourist centers have been also recorded during this period.
According to the report, this year the domestic tourism in Iran experiences a boom. In this regard, the country is working over to build the new hotels.

Deputy director of tourism department of the Iranian Cultural Heritage Organization called a few cities, in particular Yazd, as ones which have made significant progress in the development of tourism for the recent years.
