15 thousand tons of pomegranates will put Afghanistan in the UK for two years

Almaty. December 8. Silkroadnews - Over the next two years, Afghanistan intends to export pomegranates in the amount of $80 million (4.6 billion afghanis) to the UK, reports Afghan News Agency (AfTAG).
"This is just the beginning, and we hope to expand the export of fruit to the UK", - said the head of the department of industrial development CCI World Zaman Popal.
According to the publication, the Afghan firm Omid Bahar Co. and a British company producing juice Pomegreat signed a contract for the supply of garnet. So, the Afghan company will supply more than 15 thousand tons of pomegranates in the United Kingdom for 2015-2016.
