2 Bishkek residents try to sell 1.5 kg of mercury for USD 30 000

Bishkek. May 12. Silkroadnews – 2 Bishkek residents were held while trying to sell 1.5 kg of mercury, as Bishkek Police Department reports.
2 29-year-old Kyrgyzstan citizens were held with a rubber container filled with 1 kg 650 g of mercury.
“According to the information that was gathered by the police, they intended to sell it for USD 30 000”, the message states.
In Kyrgyzstan, Illegal trade in poisonous substances is a criminal offence punishable by 3 to 5 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
