Almaty. September 27. Silkroadnews - 4,000 candidates apply for a job on 23 vacancies opened in the special economic zone of Xiongan New Area, China Daily reported.
“Xiongan Construction and Investment Group Co Ltd, a company based in the Xiongan New Area, started recruiting employees from around the country recently. This is the first public recruitment in Xiongan New Area. The company published the employment information on the website of Chengtong, a recruitment agency, on Aug 31. And the 23 job openings attracted more than 4,000 candidates, equivalent to 1 in 179, within a week,” the report said.
The company opened vacancies in such areas as finance, infrastructure construction and public relations. Most positions require five years of experience and education at least a bachelor’s degree, with this the salaries are comparable to those in Beijing, where the average salary in the public sector in was 120,000 a year ($18,000) last year.
The special economic zone of Xiongan New Area is located about 100 kilometers southwest of Beijing and covers three districts - Shongxiang, Rongcheng and Anxin in the neighboring province of Hebei. In April, China announced plans to build the new area to boost coordinated the development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Province.
