40 Chinese tourists robbed in Paris

Almaty. November 6. Silkroadnews - 40 Chinese tourists were robbed in Paris, the South China Morning Post reported.
“A Chinese tour group was attacked and robbed in Paris by four assailants armed with tear gas, according to China’s embassy in France,” the report said.
According to the newspaper Le Parisien, 40 tourists have just returned from a shopping trip and left the bus in the parking of the Kyriad hotel in the Paris suburb of Val-de-Marne around 8:20 pm. Four unknown persons ran up to them, sprayed tear gas and took away bags with purchases, including luxury items. The exact amount of damage has not yet been established.
There are no formal victims reported, yet few tourists complained of feeling sick. The tour group returned to China the next day.
The Chinese Embassy said it had contacted French police and urged them to investigate the case and bring the perpetrators to justice as soon as possible.
It also issued a warning for all Chinese people planning to visit France having described the security situation in the country as a “grim” one.
