Almaty. September 19. Silkroadnews – In Turkey 40 foreigners have been detained over their suspected links to the «Islamic state» terrorist group (IS), Deutsche Welle writes.
«In the course of the antiterrorist operation Istanbul police detained 40 foreign nationals on suspicion of having links with the «Islamic state» terrorist group (IS). The suspects come from Azerbaijan, Iran, Iraq and Afghanistan», publication says.
It is noted that some of the suspects have repeatedly been in Syria, taking part in the civil war there. The raids have been carried out to 23 addresses in Istanbul's Fatih district.
