"As a result of monitoring, from June to August 2014 rested 740 thousand people, among which the organized sector of tourism - 193 thousand people. In the informal sector of the resort area of the Issyk-Kul region rested 547 thousand people",- said the head of the department of environmental statistics and information and communication technologies NatStatCom Kyrgyzstan Kanykei Orozbaeva on Friday.
She noted that the number of tourists from the CIS countries accounted for more than 57 thousand people, from other countries - more than 24 thousand people.
According to the National Statistics Committee, the revenue in 2013 from tourism in Kyrgyzstan totaled to 36 billion 462 million soms.
