A 37% reduction in the inflow of foreign direct investment was observed in Kyrgyzstan in 2014

Almaty. May 12. Silkroadnews - Foreign direct investments in the Kyrgyz economy in the past year fell by 37% to $608.5 million, reported KyrTAG with reference to the head of the NSC KR Viktoriya Biryukova at a press conference on Tuesday.
The priority economic activities for investments remain a sphere of professional, scientific and technical activities, financial intermediation and insurance, manufacturing, and wholesale and retail trade.
According to her, in 2014 the volume of foreign direct investments from foreign countries in comparison with 2013 decreased by 1.6 times, significantly from China - 2.3 times, Britain - 1,5 times, and Canada - 1.3 times.
The volume of foreign direct investments from CIS countries last year compared to 2013 decreased by 1.8 times, while the inflow from Russia decreased by 3.2 times, from Kazakhstan by 10.7%.
The bulk of investments from Kazakhstan was directed to financial intermediation and insurance - 44.5%, wholesale and retail trade and manufacturing industries. From Russia to the enterprise to ensure the supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply.
