Almaty. May 31. Silkroadnews – A number of documents has been approved at the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council (SEEC) meeting held in Astana, the chairman of the board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Tigran Sargsyan reported.

“We have decided to start negotiations with the Republic of Serbia on harmonization of the trade regime with this country by the Eurasian Economic Union and its member states,” T. Sargsyan said in his interview to reporters after the SEEC meeting on Tuesday.

In addition, he said, the heads of the states approved the concept of forming a common EEU markets of oil and petroleum products. According to the concept, the energy companies of member states will get a non-discriminatory access to the partners’ oil infrastructure, will be able to buy oil and oil products without any restrictions, at market price, with no export duties.

“The concept is expected to be implemented in three stages. Next year we shall develop and submit for approval by the presidents the concept implementation program and then start working over the appropriate agreement preparation after introduction of which in 2025 we will have a common energy market. The concept of the EEU common gas market will be built on the same logic and this common market will be also formed on the same principles by 2025,” he explained.

T. Sargsyan also informed during the meeting the basic guidelines of the macroeconomic policy of the EEU member states for 2016-2017 have been approved.

“The document is an anti-crisis one, it identifies the most important short-term and medium-term challenges the economies of our countries face. Under the agreements achieved, the monitoring of measures implemented by countries will be adopted as a reference and be then carried out on a system basis,” he said.

The Eurasian Economic Commission official noted that coordination of work in the framework of macroeconomic policies will affect the rate of inflation, budget deficit and public external debt.

In addition, the decision has been made to establish a new subsidiary body of the EEU – council of the heads of the authorized bodies in the field of sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the population of the EEU member states.
