ABII will promote in its projects the use of energy efficient and environmentally friendly technologies

Almaty. June 29. Silkroadnews - Asian Bank of Infrastructure Investments (ABII) is "to promote the use of energy efficient and environmentally friendly technologies in its projects,reported China Daily, citing the head of the working group of the bank Jin Likan.
"Regulations of ABII set a number of environmental criteria for the projects it will fund. It will try to develop a new model of development, resolve the conflict between the improvement of people's living standards and environmental protection", - said Jin Likan on summit in Beijing.
He also said that the first aspect to comply with "green principles" is to create a series of high standard rules. The bank has developed a draft document on the environment, which must be approved by the Member States. It will promote the use of energy efficient and environmentally friendly technologies in its projects.
In addition, the bank will apply green financing, and develop cooperation with representatives of private capital for co-financing projects.
