About 6.4 thousand refugees have returned to Afghanistan from Pakistan since the beginning of the year

Almaty. June 8. Silkroadnews – About 6.4 thousand refugees have returned to Afghanistan from Pakistan since the beginning of the year with the assistance of the United Nations, Afghan news agency (AfTAG) reports.

“As a part of the UN voluntary repatriation program about 6400 refugees have received help for four months of this year,” the publication says.

As a total, since 2009, the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Refugees has implemented more than 300 projects of a total value of $175 million on programs of assistance to the Afghan migrants in the fields of education, health and employment.

All the projects have been implemented in the Pakistani provinces of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
