Afghan President called on for the fight against corruption
Almaty. September 2. Silkroadnews - Afghan President Ashraf Ghani strongly condemned corruption and called for a struggle against it, said Afghan News Agency (AfTAG).
According to him, efforts in this area should begin in schools and mosques.
This also primarily relates to government contracts. Among 350 projects reviewed by government agencies on public procurement, 28 were rejected due to non-compliance with PPL and 8.5 billion Afghanis ($131.8 million) were rescued by the government in this way.
Another problem is the property and squatters in Afghanistan. According to him, the owners of the property, as a rule, do not have documents proving legal status. For example, 65% of industrial facilities in Kabul, have no documents proving their legal status. However, the government is working to solve this problem.
Also a major problem is the drug trade.
According to the President of Afghanistan, "in order to effectively fight crime and mafia, the government must focus on the development of agriculture through investment and support".
In addition, the president said that the government intends to restore the trade balance and to prevent the import of harmful food from some of Afghanistan's neighbors.
