Afghan President obliged the officials to cooperate actively with the media

Almaty. October 18. Silkroadnews – With special decree President of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani obliged all levels of government bodies, ministries and departments’ official to actively cooperate with the media, Afghan news agency (AfTAG) reports.

According to the decree, the officials has been instructed to hold press conferences at least once a month to report on their work and its results.

Besides, to improve cooperation in sharing the information with the media, ministries and departments should develop a regular schedule to give speakers of their departments a minimum of 15 minutes a day to communicate to media. And the president also ordered government agencies speakers to get in touch with the media on a regular basis to answer questions and provide information.

Also the public authorities are to prepare lists of at least three of their senior officials, including a deputy minister, and to provide such lists with due contacts, including their phone numbers and e-mails, to media.
