Kabul. July 24. Silkroadnews - Afghan presidential candidate Abdullah Abdullah and Ashraf Ahmadzai asked UN to help to avoid delaying the electoral process, transmits AfTAG.
"The process of revising the results of the second round of presidential elections, which was temporarily suspended on Wednesday, so that candidates could discuss criteria to invalidate the votes, resumed today. Secure agreement on the criteria for the recognition of invalid ballots have not been reached, but both candidates have asked the UN to help avoid delays in the process of elections",- says the publication.
Another issue that created controversy, was the presence of foreign observers near the camp Abdullah Abdullah, who did not have appropriate documents.
Recall, on Wednesday, the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) announced that audit was stopped for the second time because of disputes between observers of candidates that occurred on Tuesday afternoon.
