Afghanistan and Turkmenistan discuss security issues in Ashgabat

Kabul. June 6. Silkroadnews – Turkmen MFA held a meeting with representatives of Afghan delegation to Turkmenistan. The delegation is headed by the member of the Upper Chamber of Afgham Parliament, As Turkmen MFA informs.
Turkmen deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vepa Khadzhiyev met Afghan Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Ayub Salangui in Afgah city of Herat. The parties discussed issues of security provision, as Azattyk radio informed quoting Herat regional TV station.
Turkmenistan and Afganistan parties started negotiating more frequently after Afghan guerrillas shot 6 Turkmen Border Officers. One incident took place in February, the other one happened in May.
