Afghanistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs voiced protest to Pakistan on new cross-border attacks

Beijing. February 8. Silkroadnews - Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan have voiced the protest to Pakistan on growing number of cross-border missile attacks on the settlements in the east of the country, the Afghan Telegraph Agency (AfTAG) reports.
Over the past day, 150 rocket missile fell in the Afghan territory, in four Kunar counties, no human casualties have been reported so far, one of the province’s police officer reported yesterday.
According to the Afghan government, at least 5,000 rocket missiles fired from Pakistan fell in the country’s eastern provinces in the past six months.
Reports of new cases of cross-border attacks have been received shortly after the completion of the Afghan-Pakistani talks on the terrorist threat fighting, which aroused indignation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan.
To remind, recently President Ashraf Ghani refused to accept Islamabad’s condolences in connection with the terrorist attacks, and Prime Minister Abdullah Abdullah reported on the government’s efforts to get Islamabad involved in the fight against the security threats.
