Afghanistan to build a 70-million-euro factory to issue banknotes

Almaty. March 16. Silkroadnews – Government of Afghanistan plans to build a modern printing factory in Kabul to issue the national currency banknotes, the Afghan Telegraph Agency (AfTAG) reports.

The construction will be carried out in the Jangalak industrial area in the south-west of Kabul.

The joint project of Afghanistan and Germany will cost 70 million euros and is expected to use around 9 hectares.

According to the Afghan media, economists have repeatedly asked the government to restore the factories of Jangalak.
