Beijing. April 10. Silkroadnews -  Afghanistan will supply its products to China through Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, the Afghan Telegraph Agency (AfTAG) reports citing the arrangements achieved during the Tashkent talks with the Minister of Transport of Afghanistan Mohammad Hamid Tahmasi.
The project mentioned includes use of a new transport corridor Tashkent-Andijan-Osh-Irkeshtam-Kashgar. The road passing through the village of Sary-Tash and the Irkeshtam pass in Kyrgyzstan at an altitude of more than 3,5 thousand meters above sea level is the shortest road from Ferghana Valley, Uzbekistan, to China.
The Afghan side intends to send its cargoes from Mazar-i-Sharif all the way to Andijan, then, using heavy trucks, to deliver them via Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan to Kashgar.
Also, the countries intend to continue active work on construction of the Mazar-i-Sharif-Herat railway, which will dramatically increase the opportunities for trade and transit of goods through the Iranian port of Chabahar.
During the negotiations, the sides also specified the need for timely preparation of a feasibility study for the project to attract appropriate funding.
