Afghanistan tripled Kazakh flour imports in January-May

Astana. July 9. Silkroadnews - Kazakhstan increased exports of wheat or rye flour to Afghanistan in January-May 2014 to 265.9 thousand tons for $88.5 million, up to 308.3% more in quantity and 270.5% more in the cost than the same period in 2013, reports KazTAG.
As noted in the published data of Customs Control Committee of the Ministry of Finance, excluding the countries of the Customs Union, Kazakhstan increased flour exports in January-May 2014 to 765.4 thousand tons for $223.7 million, which is 25.1% more in quantity and 11.3% more in the amount over the same period in 2013.
The largest buyers of Kazakh flour were: Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan.
