Afghanistan will increase its annual oil import from Iran

Almaty. January 8. Silkroadnews - Afghanistan plans to increase the annual oil imports from Iran up to 1.2 million tons. Bijan Namdar Zangeneh, Oil Minister of Islamic Republic of Iran, announced on Tuesday after negotiations with Homayoun Rassa, Minister of Trade and Industries of Afghanistan, Afghan News Agency (AfTAG ) reports.  
“Afghanistan has expressed the readiness to increase the annual import of refined petroleum products from Iran from 200 thousand up to 1 million tons, and also buy 200 thousand tons of liquefied gas”, the head of the Iranian Oil Ministry said.
The negotiations on the export of oil products to Afghanistan took place within the framework of the country governmental delegation’s visit in Tehran headed by Abdullah Abdullah, Prime Minister of     Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
