Almaty. January 23. Silkroadnews – For Kyrgyzstan, as a member to the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), there is only Kazakhstan left to agree on the veterinary safety, KyrTAG reports.

“Among the EEU states there is only Kazakhstan left for Kyrgyzstan to negotiate the recognition of our cattle health protection. For this there are two laboratories provided with all the documents at the national level, the remaining work has been scheduled for 2017 and includes construction of four laboratories and repair in thirteen laboratories”, director of the State Inspectorate for veterinary and phytosanitary safety of Kyrgyzstan Kalysbek Zhumakanov said at the press conference on Monday.

He noted, the inspection works have been carried out three times. The claims related to laboratories’ readiness for operation and introduction of electronic traceability of veterinary certificates.

“This program has been developed and will be integrated on March 1 according to the EEU sates’ program. There will be no more inspections, as all the EEU partners, except for Kazakhstan, have recognized our system as meeting all the requirements”, K. Zhumakanov said.

“The EEU states at the meeting of the supreme council of heads of states and EEC supported the Kyrgyz veterinary system, having considered the Veterinary Service of the Kyrgyz Republic as ensuring the animal health protection.

Kazakhstan was the only state that did not support that, as a result the protocol has not been signed yet. However, we believe that Kyrgyzstan will be able to ensure the epizootic welfare and continue to negotiate with our Kazakhstani colleagues”, the head of the department summarized.
