Akhmetov to head Kazakh Ministry of Defence

Astana. April 3. Silkroadnews. Former Kazakh PM Serik Akhmetov is appointed as country’s Minister of Defence by Presidential decree, the official Presidential Administration’s twitter account informs.
“Presidential decree appoints Serik Akhmetov as a Minister of Defence of the RK”, the mico-blog message states this Thursday.
As reported earlier President Nursultan Nazarbayev accepted resignation letter from the Kazakhstan’s PM Serok Akhmetov on the 2nd of April. He was appointed to the PM position in September 2012.
