Almost all categories of imported food revealed inconsistencies to Chinese quality requirements

Almaty. April 8. Silkroadтews - almost all imported food categories were identified non-compliant to the quality in China, said the agency "Xinhua".
Primarily the list includes pastry, then drinks, cereals and their products, sugar, dairy products, alcohol, spices, aquatic, finished food products and nuts.
As noted, in 2014 China imported food worth $48.24 billion which is 5.2 times more than performance of 10-year-old, with the average annual growth of 17.6%.
In 2014, among the food products delivered from 79 countries and regions have been identified 3503 parties that do not meet the requirements of China, the volume and value of which amounted to 24 thousand tons or $32,68 million respectively. Compared with the previous year, these three figures increased by 37.9%. These products were either returned or destroyed in accordance with current international practice.
