An-26 has crashed in Syria killing 39 people on board

Beijing. March 7. Silkroadnews - A Russian military transport plane An-26 has crashed in Syria on March 6, during a landing at the airfield Hmeymim killing all people on board, the Kazakh Telegraph Agency (KazTAG) reports with reference to TASS.
As a result of the tragedy, all 39 people on board were killed, 33 passenger and 6 crew members. Among the passengers there were 27 officers, including one in the rank of major general, as well as warrant officers and contract servicemen. There were no civilians on board An-26, the officials of the Ministry of Defense of Russia said.
Preliminary data shows it was a technical malfunction that could cause the crash.
