Another Kyrgyz village to rally

Bishkek. April 4. Silkroadnews – Saruu residents are planning to rally in support of recent Bakhai-Ata recent rally, as Issyk-Kul Department of Internal Affairs informs.
As reported earlier, 500 residents of Bakhai area in Talas District took over the Talas-Taraz highway on the 3rd of April. The protesters demanded “Shyralzhyn” goldmine to be closed.
Saruu residents themselves had blocked Balykchy-Karakol highway in the past. They demanded “Kumtor” goldmine to be nationalised in autumn last year. Back then, the rally has escalated into serious confrontation with law enforcement and 4 people were injured.
