APEC states may consider a new trade agreement with Russia and China, without US though – media

Almaty. November 16. Silkroadnews – Chinese President Xi Jinping will attend the summit of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation to be held in Peru on November 19-20, Chinese media reported.

Within the framework of informal consultations there are four key forum issues planned: regional integration, strengthening of the food market in the region, modernization of small and medium-sized enterprises and development of human capital.

Meanwhile, media reported the summit participants could consider the possibility of forming a new international trade agreement without the US participation, but including Russia and China.

The APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) is international forum bringing together 21 leading economies of the world to cooperate in trade and economic development of the region. The main objective of the APEC until 2020 was called the creation of free and open trade and a liberal investment regime in the Asia-Pacific region.
