Apple introduced Vice President for China position

Almaty. July 19. Silkroadnews – Apple has appointed a vice president and managing director for China, the Financial Times reported.
“Apple has named Isabel Ge Mahe, vice president of its wireless technology division, as vice president and managing director for greater China – a new position that reflects the growing importance of Chinese users for the company”, the statement said on Wednesday.
It is reported that I. Mahe plans to deepen the work with users and state bodies of China to promote innovation.
“Ms Mahe, who was born in Liaoning province, previously led Apple’s wireless technologies software engineering team for nine years. She said she was “looking forward to deepening our team’s connections with customers, government and businesses in China to advance innovation and sustainability”
With this it is noted that cooperation with the PRC government “is likely to be of particular importance for Apple in the coming years”.
To remind, on July 12, Apple announced to invest $1 billion in new data centers in China to meet the local users’ demand for cloud services.
The data processing centers were reported to be operated by Guizhou-Cloud Big Data Industry Co Ltd, owned by the government of Guizhou Province. With this Guizhou-Cloud Big Data Industry will also become the sole operating partner of Apple’s iCloud on the Chinese mainland. According to a joint statement, Apple will register an enterprise in Guiyang to help create data centers and offer technology support. Guizhou-Cloud Big Data Industry will also be the sole operating partner for iCloud from Apple in the mainland of China.
