Art of Tajik embroidery Chakan can be added to the list of UNESCO

Almaty. November 26. Silkroadnews - UNESCO will consider the introduction of the Tajik art of embroidery Chakan into the list of intangible heritage,reported the Tajik news agency (TajikTA) on Thursday.
So, from November 29 to December 4 in Vindhuke (Namibia) will be held a meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee for Intangible Cultural Heritage.
The meeting will consider seven candidates for inclusion into the list of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding, and 34 nominations for inscription on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
It will also consider a number of ethical principles to be followed in the protection of intangible heritage.
