Astana is ready to hold talks on the situation in Ukraine on 15-16 January, 2015

Almaty. December 31. Silkroadnews - Kazakhstan is ready to hold talks in Astana on the situation in Ukraine at any convenient time for stakeholders, informs the press service of the President of Kazakhstan.
"As a result of negotiations with the president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and Russian President Vladimir Putin it was agreed to meet the leaders of the two countries in Astana with the participation of German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande. For its part, Kazakhstan is ready to negotiate on 15-16 January 2015, or in another convenient time for the parties", - said in a posted on the site Akorda report.
As previously reported, the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev during his December visit to Kiev and Moscow discussed the possible ways out of the Ukrainian crisis.
Following these meetings, N. Nazarbayev also discussed this topic during a telephone conversation with President of Ukraine Poroshenko, French President F. Hollande and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
However, Germany did not confirm the participation of Chancellor Angela Merkel during a meeting "Norman Quartet" on January 15 in Astana.
Meanwhile, the President of Ukraine Poroshenko conirmed his participation at a press conference on Monday.
"My diplomatic year will begin on January 15 in Astana, which will be held in the meeting in "Norman format", - he said.
