Regarding the Tuesday evening fixing in dollar terms it decreased by 7.6.
The cost of gold ounce in euros made 1052.285 (-5.066), and in British pounds 816.56 (-8.947).
The interbank gold fixing is carried out every trading day at 10.30 and 15.00 GMT. The fixing results are used as a guide to trade the gold futures around the world. 5 financial institutes physically participating in delivery of gold determine the price.
