Almaty. December 30. Silkroadnews - At the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border happened a skirmish; injured 2 citizen of Kyrgyzstan, informs KyrTAG.
"On December 30 there was an incident between soldiers of the Republic of Uzbekistan and citizens of Kyrgyzstan", - stated in the department of public relations and mass media of Kyrgyzstan Border Service on Wednesday.
According to preliminary information, the citizens of Kyrgyzstan tried to smuggle contraband cargo outside the checkpoint from Uzbekistan to Kyrgyzstan and refused to obey the requirements of the boundary order to stop. As a result, the Uzbek troops used their weapons, two Kyrgyz citizens were shot and wounded.
Currently, citizens of Kyrgyzstan are located in Batken oblast hospital.
