Beijing. March 15. Silkroadnews - Baikonur to start first commercial launches of medium “Protons” in 2019, the Kazakh Telegraph Agency (KazTAG) reported referring to Roskosmos.
The International Launch Services - a company formed in partnership with the Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center - has received the orders for several launches of the two-stage version of the Proton-M (Proton-Medium in ILS classification) using either a standard fairing of four-meter diameter (4,35 m) or fairing of a five-meter diameter (5.2 m), TASS news agency cited the corporation’s statement.
The launches will be carried out from the Baikonur cosmodrome launch facility at the end of 2019.
