Almaty. October 14. Silkroadnews - Iran rejected accusations by the United States, that test of a new ballistic missile "Imad" violates the nuclear deal of Iran and the "six" of international mediators, reports Trend.
"Missile tests by Iran does not violate the joint comprehensive action plan (JCAP), because the agreement is not related to the defensive power of the Islamic Republic of Iran, including the country's missile capabilities. Linking the test of Iranian missiles with JCAP is not correct", - said a spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry Marzieh Afham.
In this regard, M.Afham recalled that the UN Security Council resolution 2231 from 20 July 2015 prohibits the missiles developed under the nuclear warheads. According to the Iranian Foreign Ministry, initially Iranian ballistic missiles were not created for that purpose, so they can not be subject to this resolution.
Earlier, deputy head of the press service of the US Department of State Mark Toner said at a regular briefing that the United States intends to raise at the UN Security Council the question of eligibility test of a new ballistic missile, conducted by Iran.
