Beijing has invested nearly $ 155 million in the Sino-Russian railway bridge across the Amur River
Almaty. April 10. Silkroadnews - China has invested in the Chinese-Russian railway bridge "Tongjiang-Nizhneleninskoye" across the river Heilongjiang (Amur) 950 million yuan ($154,723,127) for 13 and a half months after laying the foundation, said the agency "Xinhua".
As reported by the Chinese headquarters the construction of the bridge due to adverse weather conditions was suspended in early January 2015 and resumed only on March 12. To date, the total investment in the facility reached 952.44 million yuan, accounting for 36.86% of the planned amount.
In October 2013 in Moscow the sides agreed on the joint construction of a bridge in the beginning of February 2014 with the completion in 2016. The ceremony of laying the foundation of the bridge took place on February 26, 2014.
Later, the heads of state of China and Russia signed a joint statement which was called on to "accelerate the development of cross-border transport infrastructure".
After commissioning, the bridge will connect the railway Tongjiang with Russian Far East and Siberia railway, and open a new channel between the north-eastern part of China and the Russian Far East.
