Belarus will start shipping meat products to China in early 2017

Almaty. October 28. Silkroadnews – The first batches of meat products produced by Belarusian meat processing companies to China will be shipped in early 2017, “Xinhua” agency reported.  

“We plan to supply beef. After certification of meat enterprises, we will work over certification of our poultry farms to supply China with poultry”, Minister of Agriculture and Food Leonid Zayats said.

At present a group of experts from China examine four Belarusian meat processing plants in Brest, Grodno, Minsk and Mogilev regions to certify the production facilities.

“Certification process goes on successfully. As a results, nine enterprises are expected to be certified to export their products to the Chinese market”, L. Zayats added.

The minister also reminded that 34 Belarusian dairy processing enterprises had been certified to supply dairy products to China.
