Boeing-575 braking system failure in Astana airport, no victims
Astana. April 1. Silkroadnews – As Boeing-575 that belongs to SCAT airlines was landing, its braking system failed. This was reported by the airport’s press office.
“The left chassis’ braking system failure led to the subsequent damage of all 4 wheels, which caused some smoke blanketing”, the message states.
There were 171 passengers and 9 crew members on the plane. There are no victims. Passenger evacuation was handled by using a taxiway at the place of landing. The investigation has been launched.
“There was a false alarm when the plane was taxiing to the runway. The alarm went off due to lowering pressure in chassis’ wheels”, the message further states.
The plane was on its way from Bangkok.
